JOIN THE REVOLUTION
Being part of TMRACADEMY means that you are an agent of a positive change within the industry, equipping your clients with information and detail about the true method, just without the dogma and 'ivory tower' vibes of big-brand Pilates schools.
Studying The Cadillac with us will give you the passport to work in any setting that you connect with, whether you have aspirations of working in a post-rehab setting, general Classical studio, or as a group class teacher for Tower and Springboard sessions.
Choose a format that suits you; module by module with the most comprehensive approach to the method on the market. As a graduate, you will come to know the apparatus with confidence and eventually how each apparatus is interrelated beyond the exercises alone.
BRINGING YOU THE BEST
The full Cadillac is not often taught in teacher training courses, but we are here with good news. Not only will we go through all of the devices associated with the Cadillac, we also add the Neck Stretcher.
The great thing about the apparatus is that it builds up to using the full frame or canopy, but is the main place many of us start teaching JHP's work to every day clients. Utilising the exercises one spring at a time and then adding bigger and more full-body exercises is a straight-forward way to enrich a client's physical wellbeing.... and they love the security of the frame and the feedback from the springs and bars.
Once the foundation work is in the body, it's time to work on grip strength and hand positions in hanging because the Cadillac although it looks like a torture device is ultimately a big kid's playground!
OG Pilates + movement education + exercise science + common sense + a good time = TMRACADEMY
Have you felt the difference between Classical Pilates and other dilutions of the method? Before you sign up to another course and become another cookie-cutter Reformer instructor ... save yourself the heartache and try some sessions IRL or online with us. The more you experience before the course starts, the richer your experience.
Feel the difference, then make a difference!
We are truly here for you. Our goal is that each person who signs up, thrives.
Training courses can be a challenge for a variety of reasons, but that's the benefit of training with TMRACADEMY, we do our best to ensure your workload is sustainable and ask you to study with us when you are truly ready.
You'll be part of a regular group work-out/work-in and participate in sessions with the faculty frequently.
Our learning tasks aren't there to trick you or get you flustered but to support your study pathway and equip you for certification, holistically.
You're not going to slip through the cracks, we promise.
ATTENTION TO DETAIL
TMRACADEMY is known for educating fabulous teachers who share our love of detail, precision and care for the method.
The thing about the Cadillac is that the movement system and vocabulary on the Mat and Reformer link in so beautifully. Whether you are certified in all three or just one other, the Cadillac can underpin your teaching and help you to do your job with confidence. So many exercises on the Mat and Reformer have cousins on the Cadillac which are fabulous recall points when battling the original Mat or Reformer lists. Roll up, leg circle, crab, elephant, long stretch, swan, mermaid and many more can be explained with native Cadillac movements. When you add the possibilities created on the canopy, it is a one stop shop for supporting your client to live an exciting life of comfort and confidence.
At The Movement Refinery, the Cadillac is where we teach the fundamentals of human movement .... disassociation, awareness, reassociation and full body integration.
No fads, just a space for enquiry into calm strength and confidence based on Nicholas Psarros' near twenty year career as a movement educator.
Project: Open up
Let's go beyond the exercises themselves (although we offer plenty) and consider how you can support your client to open up. It's more holistic than just stretching the pecs and working the mid-back (as we used to say). This workshop really will take you from finger-tip to low-back and beyond.
You’ll get a chance to move and free-up the ropey bits and develop a strategy to free up your clients. This may start as TLC and subtle movements and will lead to progressively towards a strong upper body and thoracic comfort.
Facilitated by Nicholas Psarros - Melbourne

Part two ...
In the first edition of this workshop, we looked to develop a fundamental understanding of the vocal mechanism and how you can work safely in the teaching environment. We offered practical applications to avoid shouting or 'projecting' to hold authority in a class.
Now, we go to a deeper level physiologically. This will empower you to support yourself and your clients with confidence.
You'll enjoy developing a deeper understanding of vocal physiology which will carry you through your teaching career.
Facilitated by Jeremy Powell - New York City.
